Molding Room
The molds are produced by cutting-edge, high-precision CNC-controlled lathes.
The production of a mold starts by determining the manufacturability of the custome's mold request and ends with the delivery of a finished sample.
This process is as follows:
•Manufacturability of the drawing or sample from the client is examined. Whenever necessary, technical support is provided to the client on profile design and development.
•The deadlines, sizes and costs of the molds that have been agreed on are presented for the approval of the client.
•The designs for each mold-for each approved profile-are developed by our experienced technical personnel. This is undertaken with CAD programs that take surface quality, dimensional tolerances, mold performance and desired lifetimes into account.
•The molds are then processed by 3D CAM applications running cutting-edge, high-precision CNC controlled lathes.
•Any defects that may be discovered during the tests applied to each produced mold are smoothed out by the technical personnel taking account the surface quality and dimensional tolerances.
•Upon approval of the sample by the client, molds are heat-treated and stored, ready for production.
Kurtoğlu A.Ş. Molding section produces 1,500 new and substitute molds every year by utilizing the know-how it has built up since 1996.
